Acceptable Use Policy

Who This Applies To

This policy applies to every customer, user, and API key that sends mail through DevelEmail. Customers share sending infrastructure and IP reputation, so one customer’s abuse harms all of them. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.

Consent-Based Mailing Only

You may send email only to recipients who have given you clear, verifiable permission to receive that kind of mail from you, or with whom you have an existing transactional relationship. You must keep records of that consent and give them to us on request.

Prohibited List Practices

You may not send to purchased, rented, harvested, or scraped lists, to addresses collected without the owner’s knowledge, or to lists obtained from a third party that cannot prove consent.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use DevelEmail for:

• phishing, malware, or any attempt to deceive recipients into disclosing credentials or installing software;

• spoofing a sender you do not control, or forging or obscuring message headers, routing, or origin;

• evading rate limits, suspension, or abuse controls, including by creating additional accounts.

Unsubscribes and Postal Address

You must honor every unsubscribe request within 10 days, and must not mail an address again after it opts out.

Every commercial message must include a valid physical postal address for the sender and a working unsubscribe mechanism, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

Deliverability Thresholds

We monitor sending quality. A bounce rate above 5% or a spam-complaint rate above 0.1% triggers a review of your account and may result in throttling or suspension.

Prohibited Content

You may not send content that promotes or relates to:

• illegal goods or services;

• adult content;

• gambling without the required licence;

• get-rich-quick or pyramid schemes;

• deceptive health claims;

• hate speech, harassment, or threats.

SMS Is Not Available

SMS sending is currently not available to customers. Any attempt to send SMS through DevelEmail is a violation of this policy.

Suspension and Enforcement

We may suspend or restrict an account immediately, without prior notice, when we believe it is necessary to protect deliverability, IP reputation, our infrastructure, or other customers. We may terminate accounts that violate this policy and may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
